The sources for my research are wide and varied. The core of my research came from my annotated bibliographies, found under annotated bibliographies tab. I also conducted an interview with my mentor, Clark Leonard, the assistant Metro editor at the Gainesville Times newspaper. He was able to answer my specific questions from his experience as a journalist, editor, and one of the younger people working in the newsroom. The largest amount of my research came informally, by way of daily emails sent out by the Metro editor, which often explained how social media interaction led to higher page views on normal news stories and stories written by Young Edge.
